One of my long term projects was working with The Student Room, a website that runs dedicated forums for students at college and university, and provides an impartial information hub on everything from GCSEs, A Levels and university applications, to health and relationship advice.
My original brief was to create and upload more than 150 guides for individual universities that formed part of a redesign of the website's list of universities. I was given a brief to write five sections for each of the universities: an overview section and introduction, information on their facilities, courses, accommodation and open days.
I sourced all of this information from previous guides already on their site as well as consult the universities' websites to get up-to-date information. I then pulled all of this information together to create guides with one consistent, friendly tone of voice that would appeal to students looking for valuable information on applying to university, and uploaded it to their custom CMS.
